Environmental zone in Essen

However, Essen has an environmental zone, which contains the city center and the northeastern districts of Essen. The fairground is outside of the environmental zone and is not directly affected by these guidelines.
However, the arrival and departure to the fairground, parking area and the hotel can lead you through the environmental zone in the city center.
Only those motor vehicles which have corresponding identification with an environmental sticker or fulfil the exception facts will be allowed to drive into this zone. Owners with vehicles without an environmental sticker have to expect a civil penalty of 40 EUR.
Messe Essen GmbH and TÜV Nord have decided to cooperate in order to allow you to drive into the environmental zone without any problems.

Here you can already order your sticker now.
